Broadbeach Waters, QLD
2022
This new residential development was conceived through an exterior-led design approach, with the architectural façade establishing the material, tonal, and spatial framework for the interior environments. CDG’s scope focused on translating the external materiality and architectural intent inward, ensuring continuity between envelope and interior rather than adopting the conventional decorative strategies typical of Gold Coast residences. The interiors are deliberately restrained and bespoke, characterised by a deeper tonal palette, refined material selections, and controlled lighting to create layered spatial depth. Emphasis was placed on material junctions, surface articulation, and proportion to achieve a cohesive and elevated outcome. The resulting interior provides a neutral yet character-driven framework intentionally designed to support and foreground the clients' curated art collection while allowing the architecture and interiors to operate as a united whole.
